My expertise and research field is Applied Geographical Information Science (GIS) or also known as Geoinformatics. Applied GIS or Geoinformatics can unfold something unseen. We can explore the world and answer modern issues faced by modern society using cutting-edge technology, such as space-borne sensors, unoccupied aerial vehicles (UAV), and cloud computing platforms. Supported by a visualization approach, makes it easier to communicate the solutions to broader stakeholders. My research focuses on the spatial phenomenon and geospatial dataset, which provide a unique viewpoint on changes in the human-physical environment that will shape our future. I am addressing fundamental challenges in physical, environmental, and social science. My research pushes the boundary of geospatial data, as a proxy for economic indicators, or the impact of policy on the environment. Furthermore, I am analyzing, developing, and integrating big geospatial datasets as environmental, demographic, and economic indicators, and making them easier to use and interpret for socio-economic, policy, and international studies.
In my class, under my supervision, and in the seminar, failure, and mistakes are expected, respected, and corrected. Don't be afraid to explore and do your curiosity. Because the foundation of science and innovation is curiosity. Let's protect and explore our world together!
